The present petition has been filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking quashing of FIR No. 0023/2023 registered under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC at P.S. Bindapur, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes.

The present FIR is an outcome of a matrimonial dispute between the complainant/respondent No. 2 (wife) and the petitioner (husband). 3.
Mr. Sanjay Lao, learned Standing Counsel (Crl.) for the State submits that in the present case, the petitioner is the accused and respondent No. 2 is the only complainant/victim. It is also submitted that the matter is pending investigation.

together for the past one year.

The petitioner, who is present in Court, has been identified by his counsel as well as by the IO/ SI Mayank Istwal PS Kalyanpuri, Delhi. Respondent No. 2, who is also present in Court, has been identified by the IO.

Respondent No. 2 states that she has been happily living with her husband i.e., the petitioner for the last one year and as of now, she has no complaint against her husband. She further states that she is giving this statement out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She also states that she has no objection if the present FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements and undertaking made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
