This is a petition filed under Section 29A (4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a further period of seven months from 23.09.2025 to make and publish the final Award. 2.

It is stated that the matter is at the final stage of cross-examination and due to voluminous nature of the arbitration record, there was some delay.

For the said reasons, issue notice to the respondent. 4.

Mr. Kumar, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.

I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. In view of the aforesaid, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of seven months from 23.09.2025.
