CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 01.03.2018 It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no.2 were neighbours at the relevant time.
Present
FIR No.
68/2016 under Sections 452/354/354(A)/506 IPC was registered at police station Mundka, on the complaint of respondent no.2.
It is further submitted that with the intervention of their common friends and other family members, petitioner and respondent no. 2 have now settled their disputes amicably, therefore, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed.
Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by W/ASI Usha Devi of police station Mundka. She admits
having settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion.
She has no objection in case aforesaid FIR is quashed. Affidavit of respondent no.2 also on record to this effect.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the present criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
