CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE YOGESH KHANNA

O R D E R

% 25.10.2018 This petition has been filed for quashing of FIR No.0551/2016 under section 406 IPC registered at police station Vasant Kunj North on the complaint of respondent no.2. However, on 16th November, 2016 parties have entered into a compromise and in terms thereof, authorised representative of respondent no.2 made statement before the Metropolitan Magistrate, Patiala House Courts and received `12 lacs towards full and final settlement of all his claims against the petitioner, hence, this petition.

Learned counsel for respondent no.2 along with Authorised Representative of respondent no.2 submits he has no objection in case the aforesaid FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. YOGESH KHANNA, J.
