By way of this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, the petitioner seeks the following reliefs against respondent No.1 - National Labour Cooperatives Federation of India Ltd. ["Federation"]: "i) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction to Respondents for releasing the retirement benefits due of Rs .29,67,600/- ii) Issue an appropriate writ, to pay an interest of 18% per annum from the date of retirement, i.e., 31.03.2021 towards the act of deliberately delaying the payment Petitioner's lawful retirement dues. iii) Issue an appropriate writ, to pay compensation of Rs. _____/- towards mental harassment borne by the Petitioner caused by the undue delay of the Respondents.

iv) Pass such further and other orders and directions as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper."

counsel for the petitioner, was directed to satisfy this Court with regard to the maintainability of a writ petition against the said Federation. 3.

Mr. Sharma today submits that the petitioner may be permitted to seek redressal of her grievances by way of appropriate alternative remedies.

Mr. Praveen Agarwal, learned counsel for the Federation, however, submits that the petitioner's claims are barred by limitation. 5.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties, the petition is disposed of at the request of Mr. Sharma, with liberty to invoke alternative remedies for the same prayers.

It is made clear that this order is not to be construed as rendering a decision on the point of limitation or as extending the period of limitation available to the petitioner. However, if she seeks the benefit of Section 14 of the Limitation Act, 1963, for the period the writ petition was pending in this Court, the concerned forum may consider the said request in accordance with law.

The writ petition is disposed of with these directions.
