All these appeals under Section 54 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 impugn the judgments and decrees in a Reference under Section 18 of the Act seeking further enhancement in compensation. 2.
The appeals were admitted for hearing and ordered to be listed in the category of "Regulars".

The counsel for the respondent no.1 Union of India (UOI) on request of this Court to furnish particulars of 'covered' matters pending consideration, furnished the particulars and the Registry was directed to list the said matters in the cause list in the category of 'After Notice Miscellaneous Matters'. The Court Master was also directed to telephonically inform the Advocates for the private parties of the matters so ordered to be listed.

The appeals are listed today in terms of above. 5.
The Court Master informs that telephonic communication was given to Mr. K.N. Popli, Advocate.

Mr. V.M. Popli, Advocate for the appellants appears but states that the main counsel Mr. K.N. Popli is unwell and seeks adjournment. 7.
Though the counsel for the respondent no.1 UOI has been heard separately in each of the appeals but for the sake of convenience, this common order is being passed.

The counsel for the respondent no.1 UOI states that these matters pertain to land acquired in village Khera Khurd, compensation with respect to which was determined vide Award No.20/2002-2003. It is further stated that compensation with respect to other land acquired vide the same notification and award was determined by this Court in judgment dated 23rd August, 2011 in L.A.APP. No.266/2008 titled Jai Singh Vs. Union of India and Special Leave Petition (SLP) preferred by UOI to the Supreme Court were granted and converted to Civil Appeal No.675/2012 titled Union of India Vs. Jai Singh which was dismissed on 16th December, 2014. It is thus stated that the compensation as determined by this Court in Jai Singh supra has attained finality.

On enquiry, it is stated that this Court in Jai Singh supra has enhanced the compensation then determined by the Reference Court under Section 18 of the Act.

In the aforesaid circumstances, need to await Mr. K.N. Popli, Advocate for the appellants is not felt.

These appeals are disposed of with a direction that the appellants in each of the appeals, if have been awarded compensation less than that determined in Jai Singh supra, shall be entitled to enhancement in compensation in terms of Jai Singh supra.
No costs.
Decree sheets be drawn up.
