This petition is filed for quashing the communication dated 22.08.2022, whereby the passport of the petitioner was revoked. Learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that an appeal against the revocation of the passport is pending since 2022.

Without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with direction to the Joint Secretary (PSP) & CPO, Ministry of External Affairs ('the Appellate Authority') to decide the appeal of the petitioner within eight weeks from the receipt of the certified copy of the order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 3.
