The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 765/2024 dated 03rd October 2024 under Section 25 of the Arms Act, 1959 registered at Police Station IGI Airport.

The FIR was registered on the basis that a live cartridge was found in the bag of the petitioner who was travelling from the U.S.A. and had a domestic flight from Delhi to Vijaywada on 3rd October, 2024. 3.

friends where there are various people who are practicing and cartridges are used for shooting practice. In that process, one live cartridge must have been mistakenly left inside the bag and it was not within the knowledge of petitioner or his conscious possession. It is submitted that on that basis quashing of the FIR is sought.

Standing Counsel for the State submits that there is no other allegation or any other involvement of the petitioner. 5.

Accordingly, in these circumstances, in the interest of justice, the FIR bearing No. 765/2024 under Section 25 of the Arms Act, 1959 registered at Police Station IGI Airport against the petitioner stands quashed. 6.
