The present petition has been filed seeking following relief: "(i) To issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ, order or directions to the Respondents to allow the petitioner to participate in choice filling and choice locking in round 2 of neet‐ug 2025 counseling conducted by the mcc; (ii) To include the name of the petitioner in the provisional result dated 17.09.2025, and to grant the petitioner an equal opportunity, at par with other NRI candidates, for allotment of a college strictly on the basis of marks obtained. (iii) To either accommodate the petitioner in round-2 of the neet-ug 2025 counselling, and in the event the same is not feasible, to accord due preference to the petitioner in round3 of the counselling process.." 2.

The grievance of the petitioner in the present petition is that the petitioner could not participate in the choice filling and choice locking in The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Round 2 of NEET (UG) 2025 counselling as the notice dated 15.09.2025 issued by the MCC granting opportunity to do choice filling pertained only to the PwD candidates and the same did not clearly spell out that the petitioner, who is NRI quota candidate can also do the choice filling. 3.

The notice was issued in the petition vide order dated 19.09.2025 and Ms. Avshreya Pratap Singh Rudy had sought time to seek instructions. 4.

She has returned with the instructions to the effect that the petitioner may participate in the Round 3 of counselling and may give his choice for Dr. DY Patil Medical College, Nerul, Navi Mumbai and the petitioner will be considered in his priority and allotted the said college. The statement is taken on record and the respondent shall remain bound by the same. 5.

In view of the aforesaid statement, Mr. Ashutosh Kumar Sinha, learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner submits that no further order are called for.

The petition alongwith pending application stands disposed of. 7.

Needless to say that the aforesaid arrangement has been worked out by the respondent in the peculiar facts of the present case and the same shall not be a precedent.
