The petitioner who is a Nigerian national and has filed the present petition seeking directions to the respondent no.2/Foreign Regional Registration Office that his multiple entry visa be extended. 2.
It is submitted that the petitioner is lawfully married to an Indian citizen since 01.10.2016 and out of the said wedlock, two children were born.

It is submitted that the petitioner is also engaged in lawful business in India under Registration No.8556571 in the name and style of Duru Battery Enterprise.

It is submitted that the petitioner is required to stay in India as he is an accused in the following cases:
a. FIR No. 0680/2020 - Chargesheet filed on 24.07.2020; pending before South-West Dwarka Court; next hearing on 14.10.2025. b. It is submitted that the above cases require the petitioner's periodic appearance before the respective Courts in Delhi. 6.
By way of the present petition, the petitioner seeks that a visa be granted to him to visit his home country, Nigeria, for certain business purpose/s. It is submitted that upon completion of the said proposed visit, the petitioner would return back to India to reside with his family and to defend the aforesaid cases.

After some hearing, it is agreed that the petitioner would be at liberty to approach the concerned Trial Court, seized of the aforesaid criminal cases, seeking permission to travel. As and when permission is granted by the Trial Court, the same would be communicated by the petitioner to the concerned Foreign Regional Registration Office (FRRO)/respondent no.2, whereupon the petitioner's request for extension / issuance of the visa shall be expeditiously processed to enable the petitioner to undertake the travel, in accordance with the permission granted by the Trial Court. 8.
