This appeal assails the order dated 9 October 2024 passed by the learned Single Judge in WP (C) 14245/2024 (Satish Kumar v Hari Chand & Ors).

2.

By the said order, passed in the writ petition assailing an award dated 31 July 2024 passed by the Commissioner, Employee's Compensation Act, 1923, the learned Single Judge has stayed the operation of the order of the Commissioner, subject to the petitioner depositing the awarded amount with the Registry of this Court by way of an Auto Renewal Fixed Deposit within one week. 3.

Ms. Surpreet Kaur, learned Counsel for the appellant submits on instructions, that her client is only seeking extension of time to make the said deposit. She seeks eight weeks' time to make the deposit.

4.

As the appellant is an individual, she undertakes, on instructions from her client, that the order would be complied with positively within eight weeks.

5.

As such, keeping in mind the fact that the appellant is an individual, we dispose of this appeal by extending the time granted by the learned Single Judge by para 5 of the order dated 9 October 2024, by extending the time for providing the Auto Renewal Fixed Deposit by eight weeks' from today. No further extension of time shall be granted if compliance is not effected within eight weeks. The stay of the impugned order passed by the Commissioner shall in that event stand vacated.
