O R D E R

The present petition under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter 'the A&C Act') has been filed by the petitioner seeking extension of time for completion of arbitral proceedings and making of arbitral award.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of final arguments. It is pointed out that on the previous occasions, appropriate extensions have been granted by this Court upon a petition under Section 29A(4) of the A&C Act being filed by the petitioner.

It is submitted that the arbitration proceedings have been protracted in view of the nature of the matter and the time consumed by the parties in adducing their respective evidence, and completing their arguments. 4.

seeking requisite extension of time for completion of arbitral proceedings and making of arbitral award. He further submits that learned Sole Arbitrator be also directed to grant some additional time to the respondent to complete its arguments. Needless to say, the respondent shall be at liberty to make a request in this regard to the learned Sole Arbitrator, who shall consider any such request on its own merit. However, taking note of the joint request for requisite extension of time, the time period of completion of arbitral proceedings and making of the arbitral award is extended till 31.05.2025. 5.

The present petition stands disposed of.
