The present petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter 'the A&C Act') has been filed by the petitioner seeking extension of time for completion of arbitral proceedings and making of the arbitral award.

Respective counsel jointly submit that the learned Sole Arbitrator has proceeded with the matter with expedition and dispatch, however, considering the nature of the matter, considerable time would be required to complete the arbitral proceedings and make the arbitral award. 5.
