The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying for an order to respondent no.2 to not to handover the custody of concerned minor child to respondent no.2 or any of his associates till the age of 18 years of the child.

On 12.05.2017, this Court had in its order, recorded the submission of learned counsel for the Government of NCT of Delhi and Child Welfare Committee that the child in question is in their protection and custody and they shall proceed only in accordance with law. In view of the above, no further orders were required to be passed in this petition in that regard. However another grievance was voiced that the police authorities are not acting on the information of the offences as indicated by the child. In context, a status report was called for by the police authorities and the same

has been handed over in court today. The status report is taken on record. It clearly, indicates that the child has been medically examined and the police authorities are actively pursuing with the investigation based on the information as provided by the child. In the circumstances, no further orders are required to be issued to the police authorities. 3.
