By way of present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, the petitioner seeks grant of parole for a period of 8 weeks in FIR No.171/2016 registered under Section 376 IPC and Section 6 of POCSO Act at PS Lahori Gate, Delhi.

The present petition is premised on the ground that the petitioner's mother is seriously ill and has been admitted to the hospital and that the petitioner is the only son who would have to look after his mother. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has earlier also been released on parole, a concession which he has not misused. 3.

Issue notice.

Learned ASC (Crl) for the State accepts notice and a Status Report/Verification Report is handed over which is taken on record. factum of her hospitalisation have been verified. He further states, upon instructions, that the petitioner's mother is still admitted in the St. Stephen's Hospital, Delhi.

Considering the aforesaid, the petitioner is granted parole for a period of four weeks which will be effected from the date of his release, subject to the following conditions:

(i) The petitioner shall furnish a personal bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- to the satisfaction of concerned Jail Superintendent/ learned Trial Court/Duty J.M/link JM.

(ii) The petitioner shall report to the SHO, PS Lahori Gate on every Monday during the period of his parole period. (iii) The petitioner shall surrender before the Superintendent, Tihar Jail after the expiry of four weeks.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. 7.

A copy of this order be communicated to the Superintendent, Tihar Jail as well as to the learned Trial Court.
