The present petition has been filed under Section 528 BNSS, 2023 seeking quashing of FIR No.120/2022 under Sections 452/323/341/506/34 IPC registered at Police Station Sector-23, Dwarka and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom on the ground that the parties have arrived at a settlement.

Issue notice. Mr. Ajay Vikram Singh, learned APP for the State accepts notice.

Court, have been identified by their respective counsels, as well as, by the Investigating Officer SI Jyoti, PS. Sector-23, Dwarka. 6.

The brief facts of the case are that the present FIR is an outcome of a family dispute which arose due to some misunderstanding and confusion. Respondent no.2 is stated to be the husband of petitioner no.1 and the sonin-law of petitioner no.2. The dispute between the parties also led to the registration of present FIR.

During pendency of the proceedings, the parties have arrived at a settlement, terms whereof were reduced in writing in the form of Mutual Settlement/Compromise Deed dated 02.08.2025 which is annexed as Annexure P-3 to the present petition.

It is a term of the settlement that the parties with the intervention of family and friends have resolved all their disputes amicably without any coercion or pressure and are residing together. 9.

It is also a term of the settlement that respondent no.2 will cooperate with the petitioners for the quashing of the present FIR. 10.

Respondent no.2, on a query posed by the Court, states that he has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.

In view of the fact that the parties have arrived at a settlement, no useful purpose will be served in continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them.

It is, thus, in the interest of justice that the present FIR and all the other proceedings emanating therefrom be quashed. 13.

Consequently, the petition is allowed and the FIR No.120/2022 under Sections 452/323/341/506/34 IPC registered at Police Station Sector-23, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Dwarka alongwith all other proceedings emanating therefrom, is quashed. 14.

The petition stands disposed of in the above terms. 15.
