Pursuant to previous orders passed by this Court, parties have amicably resolved their disputes. A settlement agreement dated 23rd November 2024 has been arrived at, which has been handed up to this Court, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

The agreement has been executed by M. N. Nasser Kabir, Group General Counsel, T.V. Today Network (who is also present in Court today and is duly identified by the counsel) and Mr. Pradeep Rai, Senior Advocate, the complainant.

Counsel for the complainant is present in Court and states on instructions, that the said settlement was indeed agreed upon. 4.
Counsel for both parties, state on instructions, that respective parties shall comply with the terms of the settlement. 5.
On this account, all these matters are disposed of in terms of the settlement.

Plea is made by counsel for Mr. Pradeep Rai, who had filed civil suit for damages for defamation being CS(OS) 528/2023, against T.V. Today Network Ltd. and its proprietors. He states that in view of the settlement arrived at, the Court fee may be duly refunded to the plaintiff Mr. Rai. 7.
In view of the above facts and circumstances and considering the parties have arrived at out of court settlement, 100% of the Court fee may be refunded to Mr. Pradeep Rai through his counsel Dr. N. Pradeep Sharma. 8.
In terms of the settlement, it is agreed that the civil suit for damages shall stand withdrawn. Statement to that effect shall be made before the Joint Registrar, before whom, proceedings are pending. 9.
As regards the criminal complaint for defamation, being Complaint Case No.6484/2023, the same stands quashed.
10.
Copy of the settlement agreement shall be placed on record of this Court during the course of the day in all these matters. 11.
