Pursuant to the previous order dated 21st October, 2024, status report has been handed up by the APP for the State. He shall ensure that the same is placed on record.

As per instructions from the Investigating Officer, APP for the State submits that two eye witnesses are to be examined on 18th January 2025. The said eye witnesses are also located in the village of Kasganj, where the petitioner wishes to go for final rituals of his late grandmother, who passed away on 26th November 2023.

The petitioner has rejected the proposal of going to his village in custody.

Counsel for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the present petition with liberty to seek remedy at a subsequent stage. 5.
