By way of present petition, the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 053/2020 registered under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC and Section 3 & 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 at P.S. Mandawali Fazalpur, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes. 2.

The present FIR is an outcome of a matrimonial dispute between the complainant/respondent No.2 (wife) and petitioner No. 1 (husband), whereas petitioner Nos. 2 & 3 are parents-in-law and petitioner no. 4 is the sister-inlaw of the complainant/respondent No.2. 3.

Learned APP for the State submits that in the present case, the petitioners are the only accused persons and respondent No. 2 is the only complainant/victim.

disputes and are happily living together as husband and wife for the last 4-5 years.

The petitioners are present in Court and have been identified by their counsel as well as by the I.O./ SI Navdeep, PS Mandawali. Respondent No. 2, who has joined the proceedings through video-conferencing, has also been identified by IO/SI Navdeep, PS Mandawali. Respondent No. 2 states that she has been happily living with her husband i.e., petitioner No. 1 for the last 4-5 years and as of now, she has no complaint against her husband. She further states that she is giving this statement out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She also states that she has no objection if the present FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed. 6.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements and undertaking made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.

With the above directions, the petition is disposed of alongwith pending application.
