By way of the present petition, the petitioners pray for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to assign only such duties to the personnel working in the Cadre/Trade of Band of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), including the petitioners, which are in conformity with the duties of the Cadre/Trade of Band. 2.

We are of the opinion that the present petition should be considered as a representation of the petitioners by the respondents. 3.

Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to consider the present petition as a representation of the petitioners and decide on the same within a period of eight weeks from today, communicating their decision on the same to the petitioners within such period.
