The petitioner has filed this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution for the following reliefs:- "(i) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, rule, order or direction to the respondent board to forward the statutory appeal of the petitioner to the appellate authority expeditiously as per laid down standard operating procedure for appeals; (ii) Pass such other and /further order(s) as deemed fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case, in favour of the Petitioner."

under Section 340 of the Cantonment Act, 2006, against two notices issued by the Cantonment Board, dated 16.09.2002 and 06.10.2017. It is stated by learned counsel for the petitioner, that the petitioner has also made an application for interim relief before the appellate authority. 3.

Mr. Tarveen Singh Nanda, learned Standing Counsel for the Cantonment Board, who appears on advance notice states that the appeal is to be placed before the Board and then forwarded to the appellate authority, alongwith the comments of the Cantonment Board. He states that this process will be completed within a period of four weeks from today and that further action will be taken in terms of the Standard Operating Procedure published by the appellate authority [Annexure P-4, to the present writ petition].

In view of the aforesaid contention of the Cantonment Board, no further orders are required in this writ petition, which stands disposed of. 5.

The writ petition stands disposed of with these observations.
