O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondent, i.e., BSES Yamuna Power Ltd., to install a new electricity connection in the name of the petitioner, vide Request No. 8007147786 and New No. 8007786821.

It is submitted that petitioner is the owner of the premises bearing House No. 2616-2620, First Floor, Gali Ghafoor Baksh, Mohalla Niyariyan, behind G.B. Road, Delhi-110006.

It is submitted that the petitioner had applied for domestic electricity connection in August, 2024, which had been rejected. Thus, the petitioner had approached the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum ("CGRF"), which vide order dated 11th July, 2025 in Complaint No. 506/2024 passed The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. an order in favour of the petitioner, thereby, directing the respondent herein to install new electricity connection at the premises of the petitioner. 4.

It is submitted that though the respondent had assured grant of new connection to the petitioner, however, till date, new electricity connection has not been granted to the petitioner. Thus, the present writ petition has been filed.

Responding to the present writ petition, learned counsel appearing for the respondent submits that he has instructions to state that a new electricity connection shall be granted to the petitioner within a period of one week, subject to the petitioner complying with the codal formalities. He submits that a demand note shall be issued to the petitioner shortly and upon the petitioner depositing the requisite amount with the respondent, a new electricity connection shall be granted.

The aforesaid statement is noted.

Accordingly, the respondent is held bound by the aforesaid statement. 8.

It is directed that the needful shall be done by the respondent and new electricity connection shall be granted to the petitioner expeditiously, in terms of what has been recorded hereinabove.

No further orders are required to be passed in the present writ petition. 10.

The present writ petition, along with the pending application, is accordingly disposed of.
