% 21.08.2018 Crl. M.A. no. 30452/2018 (for compounding of offence) Learned counsels for the petitioner and respondent submit that matter has been settled between the petitioner and respondent before the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre on 24th July, 2018 vide Settlement Agreement (Annexure 'A'); therefore, offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 ("the Act", for short) may be permitted to be compounded. In view of the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent before the Mediation Centre, offence under Section 138 of the Act is permitted to be compounded. Petitioner is acquitted. Registry shall release `4,00,000/- to respondent forthwith out of the amount

deposited in Court by the petitioner.

Remaining amount together with interest accrued thereon, if any, be released to petitioner. Revision Petition as well application is disposed of in the above terms. Date fixed in the matter, that is, 14th September, 2018 is cancelled. Dasti.
