By way of present petition, the petitioner is seeking quashing of FIR bearing no. 530/2025, registered at Police Station Fatehpur Beri, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter „BNS‟).

The petitioner and respondent no. 2 are present before this Court. They have been identified by their counsel and concerned Investigating Officer (IO) from Police Station Fatehpur Beri, Delhi. 3.

Briefly stated, facts of the present case are that respondent no.2 is the father of the deceased, Akhilesh Kumar who had died as a result of The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

electrocution while he was working at the building of the petitioner. The above-captioned FIR was accordingly registered. It is however stated that both the parties have now amicably settled the present matter vide MOU dated 04.09.2025, entered between the parties. 4.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no.2, who has been identified by the concerned IO, categorically stated that he has voluntarily entered into compromise out of her own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated by respondent no. 2 that since the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties, he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed.

The present FIR was an outcome of death of the deceased. The parties have compromised. It is stated that both the parties have amicably settled their disputes and today a demand draft bearing no.005094 dated 10.09.2025 drawn on HDFC Bank, Vasant Square Mall, Delhi-110070 in favour of wife of deceased has been handed over to respondent no.2 in Court. 6.

In view of the above fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 7.

Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 530/2025, registered at Police Station Fatehpur Beri, Delhi for the offence punishable under Section 106 BNS, and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, subject to deposit of ₹15,000/- with the Delhi Police Welfare Society, within a period of seven days from date.
