By way of the present writ petition, the petitioners pray for issuance of direction to the learned Trial Court for speedy trial in the present case. 2.
The FIR in the present case was registered in the year 2018, and the petitioners are facing trial for commission of offence under Sections 120B/121/121A/122 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC'), Sections 17/18/18B/20/38 and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (hereafter 'UAPA') and Sections 4 & 5 of the Explosive Substances Act. It is alleged that the petitioners, allegedly inspired by the ideology of ISIS, had conspired to wage war against the Government of India by engaging in certain planned terrorist activities, for which they had allegedly mobilised The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. funds, procured arms and explosives, and prepared IEDs for attacks in the National Capital Region (NCR). Based on these allegations, on 21.06.2019, the main charge sheet was filed against 11 accused, including the petitioners, which was followed by filing of supplementary charge-sheets. 3.
The learned counsel appearing for the respondent NIA, at the outset, submits that the learned Trial Court is already recording the evidence expeditiously.

However, the learned counsel for the petitioner states that the case is now listed in the month of January, 2026 before the learned Trial Court, and the accused persons continue to remain in judicial custody. 5.
Considering the overall facts and circumstances of the case, and without mentioning any timeline, this Court directs the learned Trial Court to ensure expeditious trial of this case according to its calendar. 6.
It is also clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the entitlement of petitioners to grant of bail on the ground of delay in trial. 7.
Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of in above terms. 8.
