This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 ('BNSS') seeking quashing of FIR No. 0148/2016 dated 27.02.2016 under Section 323/341/506 IPC registered at PS Anand Parbat. 2.

The parties had a minor scuffle on account of putting the water drum in front of their house. The nature of injury sustained by the respondent No. 2/complainant is simple in nature.

During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties have arrived at a settlement dated 13.07.2022 before Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari, wherein the complainant/respondent No. 2 has undertaken to cooperate in quashing of the FIR.

The parties state that they have arrived at the settlement out of their own free will without any threat, pressure, coercion or undue influence. 6.

I am satisfied that the matter has been settled and the settlement is lawful. Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending. I am convinced that quashing of the present FIR and the consequential proceedings emanating therefrom would bring peace and secure ends of justice.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
