This petition has been filed seeking quashing of the FIR No.155/2024 PS Chitranjan Park under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC. 2.

Counsel for the petitioner points out to settlement dated 18th May, 2024 arrived at with the facilitation of the Counselling Cell, Family Courts. 3.

As per the settlement, the parties had agreed to certain terms including withdrawal of respective petitions against each other and ensuring that the motions for divorce are also complied with.

In the meantime, this FIR was registered.

before the Court, duly identified by IO and their respective counsels. 6.

Respondent No.2 states that she does not have any objection to quashing of the said FIR subject to the terms of the settlement being duly complied with by both the parties.

Petitioner is present in the Court and undertakes to comply with the terms of the settlement.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No.155/2024 PS Chitranjan Park under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 10.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
