The petitioner is essentially aggrieved that his application under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 ('CrPC') has not yet been decided despite the fact that the same was filed way back on 02.05.2022 and the arguments were also repeatedly heard by different Presiding Officers. 2.

Undisputedly, the pendency of the application under Section 156(3) of the CrPC for a long period of time causes great prejudice to the parties. Such applications should ordinarily be disposed of in the shortest possible time since the same are likely to involve investigations and collection of evidence. 3.

In view of the above, without commenting on the reasons for the long pendency, the present petition is disposed of with request to the learned Trial Court to make endeavours to dispose of the application expeditiously and preferably, within a period The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
