O R D E R

The present petitions raise a grievance that certain liquor shops are operating in the Integrated Freight Complex (IFC), Ghazipur, Delhi, which are completely unauthorized and impermissible. 2.
During the course of hearing, it transpires that Show Cause Notices (SCNs) have been issued by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA)/respondent no.1 in respect of the allegedly illegal use of the aforesaid shops.

The show cause notice issued in W.P.(C) 14677/2025 reads as under: "No. F.28(94)/2006/CL/1507 Dated: - 24/11/23 To, M/S Neelam Paper Agency, Plot No. 540, Pocket-C, Paper Market, IFC Gazipur, Delhi-110096 SHOW CAUSE NOTICE Sub: - Regarding illegal use of godowns in Paper Market, IFC Gazipur.
WHEREAS by virtue of allotment dated 31.03.2006, you are the allottee of the above cited property.
AND WHEREAS as per survey report dt. 14.09.2023 nonconfirming activity is being run at the Plot/Property No. 894 in Paper The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
Market, Pocket-C, IFC Gazipur, Delhi, measuring 50 Sq-Mtr and the above-mentioned plot is being used for vending for liquor instead of Paper Godown which is a gross misuse of area purely demarcated as a Paper Market.
Further, you are directed to show sufficient cause as to why your perpetual lease deed/conveyance deed should not cancelled/revoked on account of misuse of the premises. Your submission/reply should reach to this office within 15 days from the date of the issue of this letter failing which it will be presumed that you have nothing to say in this matter and decision will be taken as deemed fit and proper. Also, a FIR will be lodged against the owner of the plot (Allottee/GPA Holder) for the same. SD/- Asstt. Director (CL)"

It is submitted that identical show cause notices have been issued in the factual conspectus of W.P.(C) 14762/2025 and W.P.(C) 14812/2025. 5.
During the course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners confines himself to seeking that the aforesaid show cause notice/s be adjudicated by the DDA/respondent no. 1 expeditiously. The said limited prayer is not opposed. In any event, it is incumbent on the DDA to take the aforesaid show cause notices to their logical conclusion. 6.
In the circumstances, the DDA is directed to adjudicate the aforesaid show cause notices in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and preferably, within a period of eight weeks from today. 7.
The petitions are disposed of in the above terms. Pending applications also stand disposed of.

Needless to say, in case the grievance/s of the petitioners survives upon conclusion of the aforesaid exercise, they shall be at liberty to avail appropriate remedies under law.
