This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (4) and (5) of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator. 2.

Disputes having arisen between the parties in relation to Work Order dated 23.01.2015 issued in favour of the Petitioner by the Respondent, Petitioner filed a petition under Section 11(6) of 1996 Act being ARB.P. 210/2022, seeking appointment of an Arbitrator, which was allowed on 24.08.2022 appointing a Sole Arbitrator. Mandate of the learned Arbitrator was extended by this Court vide order dated 07.10.2024 in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 791/2024 by a period of 12 months from the date of the order. It is stated that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of final arguments and the mandate of the Arbitrator will expire on 06.10.2025. Extension of 8 months is sought to enable the Arbitrator to pass the award. 3.

Issue notice.

Mr. Adarsh Tripathi, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the Respondent and on instructions submits that Respondent has no objection to the extension of the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator. 5.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator is extended by a period of 8 months from 07.10.2025. 6.

Petition is allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
