This is a petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of one year.

It is stated that the Arbitral record is voluminous and the witnesses are being cross-examined.

Issue notice. Mr. Sinha, learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice and has no objection to the petition being allowed. 4.
For the reasons noted above, I am satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown to me. The petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of one year from today. 5.
The period from 17.10.2024 till today stands regularized. 6.
The petition is disposed of.
