The petitioner has approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution for a direction to respondent to install a new electricity connection at premises No. E-30, Vikram Nagar, Feroz Shah Kotla, New Delhi.

electricity connection can be raised before the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum ["CGRF"] constituted under Section 42(5) of the Electricity Act, 2003 ["the Act"], as held in the order dated 24.07.2024, passed by this Court in W.P.(C) 10079/2024 [Mr. Amrit Singh vs. BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd. (BRPL) and Anr.].

The petition is, therefore, dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to take remedies under the Act, including by approaching the CGRF and the Ombudsman.

In the event, the petitioner makes her application before the CGRF within a period of two weeks, CGRF is directed to take the decision as expeditiously as possible.

The writ petition is disposed of with these observations.
