The petitioner has filed the present petition impugning an order in original dated 28.08.2024 passed by the Joint Commissioner of Customs, Delhi, whereby the gold kada and gold disc which were found in the possession of the petitioner and were detained, have been directed to be confiscated. In addition, the petitioner has also been imposed a penalty amounting to ₹1,40,000/- under Sections 112(a) and 112(b) of the Customs Act, 1962.

Admittedly, the petitioner has a remedy of an appeal. 3.
