The petitioner has filed this application for a direction upon the respondent-University, to act in terms of order dated 23.10.2024, by which the writ petition was disposed of.

By the said order, the respondent-University was directed to consider the legal and factual issues raised by the petitioners, and take a decision within six weeks.

Almost four months have passed since the said order. Act, 1971. However, Mr. K.K. Mishra, learned Additional Standing Counsel for the respondent-University, submits that the delay has occurred due to a change in the senior officers of the respondentUniversity, including the Vice Chancellor and the Registrar in October, 2024. He submits that a decision in terms of the order dated 23.10.2024 will be taken within a period of four weeks positively. 4.

The application is disposed of, recording the submission of the respondent-University as aforesaid.

It is made clear that this submission is treated as an undertaking to the Court, and the petitioners may move a contempt petition, in the event the order is not complied with.

The application stands disposed of.
