Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 ('BNSS') has been preferred on behalf of petitioner for grant of parole for a period of four weeks.

Learned counsel for petitioner submits that present petition has been preferred since no communication has been received in response to application dated 10.09.2024 preferred on behalf of petitioner. 4.

Learned ASC for State submits that application preferred on behalf of petitioner has been rejected by the Competent Authority vide order dated 18.10.2024 and a copy of the same has already been forwarded to Superintendent Jail for further communication to the petitioner. 5.
