CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJEEV SACHDEVA

O R D E R

% 22.03.2018 Crl.M.A.5372/2018 (exemption) Exemption is allowed subject to all just exceptions. CRL.M.C. 1479/2018 1.

The petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.500/2014 under Sections 354/341/323/34 IPC, Police Station Bhajanpura based on a settlement.

2.

It is contended that the parties are related to each other. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the parties have settled their disputes with the intervention of respectable people of the CRL.M.C. 1479/2018

community, family members and common friends with a view to keeping harmonious relations alive.

4.

Respondent No.2 is present in person, represented by a counsel and is identified by the Investigating Officer. She submits that she has settled the disputes with the petitioners and does not wish to press any charges against the petitioners.

5.

In view of the fact that the parties have settled their disputes and the fact that the respondent No.2 does not wish to press any charges against the petitioners, in my view, continuation of criminal proceedings will be an exercise in futility and justice in the case demands that the dispute between the parties is put to an end and peace is restored; securing the ends of justice being the ultimate guiding factor. It would be expedient to quash the subject FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom.

6.

In view of the above, FIR No.500/2014 under Sections 354/341/323/34 IPC, Police Station Bhajanpura and the consequent proceedings emanating there from are quashed. 7.

Order Dasti under the signatures of the Court Master. SANJEEV SACHDEVA, J MARCH 22, 2018 st CRL.M.C. 1479/2018
