O R D E R
% 10.01.2020 The prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a passport to the Petitioner and for quashing of the impugned order dated 6th June, 2008 by which the Petitioner's request for grant of passport was rejected. The Respondents have, vide affidavit dated 8th January, 2020, deposed by the Secretary, PSP-I, Ministry of External Affairs stated that nothing adverse has been found against the Petitioner and they have no objection in issuing of the passport. The relevant paragraph of the said affidavit is set out below: "...2.
I say that a clarification from the Ministry of Home affairs has been received whereby it is clarified that nothing adverse has been found against Shri Bhag Singh, S/o Faquira Singh, r/o 1393, Chaku Path, Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Nepal, with permanent address at Vill. Bahadurpur, Lodhi Majra, District Roop Nagar, Punjab. In view of the said clarification, Ministry of External Affairs has no objection to issue an Indian passport to Shri Bhag Singh son of Faquira Singh."
In view of the stand taken by the Respondents, the passport may be issued expeditiously to the Petitioner whenever the application for the same is made subject to compliance of all the formalities and. No further orders are required in this matter.
Accordingly, the petition and all pending applications are disposed of. Dasti.
