This petition has been filed by the petitioners, praying for the following relief:
"a. Direct the respondent No.2 to immediately re-fix the correct basic pay of petitioners in the rank of Assistant Commandant at par with their batchmate i.e. respondent no. 3 and 4 1.e. IRLA no. 12079 Asstt. Comdt. Shashi Ranjan and IRLA no. 12065 Asstt. Comdt.
Arun Kumar alongwith consequential benefits."

The case of the petitioners is that their immediate junior, namely Devesh Panday (Assistant Commandant IRLA 10014), for certain reasons, which are peculiar to his case, is drawing a lesser pay The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. scale than what is being drawn by his own juniors, that is the respondent nos. 3 and 4. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, therefore, the pay of the petitioners should be fixed in parity with the respondent nos.3 and 4, who are one step junior to Shri Devesh Panday.

Having considered the contents of the petition, we direct the respondents to consider the present petition of the petitioners as a representation and to decide upon the same within a period of twelve weeks from today by passing a speaking order thereon and communicating it to the petitioners.

In case the petitioners are aggrieved of the decision so taken by the respondents, it shall be open to the petitioners to challenge the same in accordance with law.

We make it clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merit of the claim made by the petitioners.
