% 29.02.2016 The present writ petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "Direct the respondents to allow the petitioner his two balance attempts to sit and re-appear in the examination starting May, 2016 for the subject "VLSI" in Elective-III category and/or in case examination for the subject "VLSI" cannot be arranged for lack of faculty, then he should be allowed to sit in any other subject from the Elective Pool, other than "Software Engineering" to complete qualification for his B.E. degree."

A perusal of the paper book reveals that the petitioner's representations dated 21st February, 2014 and 17th October, 2014 have not been disposed of till date.

Consequently, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Dean, Faculty of Technology to decide the petitioner's representations dated 21st February, 2014 as well as 17th October, 2014 in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four weeks.

However before disposing of the aforesaid representations, the petitioner shall be given an opportunity of hearing by the Dean, Faculty of Technology. This Court clarifies that it has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the controversy. Rights and contentions of all parties are left open.
