After some argument, Mr. Amit Gupta, learned counsel for the petitioner, seeks permission to withdraw this writ petition. He nevertheless requests an opportunity to appear before the Standing Committee for Confirmation ["the Committee"] constituted by the respondent - Jawaharlal Nehru University ["the University"], pursuant to the impugned notification dated 10.09.2025.

Mr. Vasanth Rajasekaran, learned Standing Counsel for the University, who appears on advance notice, submits that although the petitioner failed to appear before the Committee on 22.09.2025 pursuant to the University's communication dated 17.09.2025, the Committee has W.P.(C) 15002/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. nonetheless decided to afford him a further opportunity to do so. 3.

Having regard to these submissions, the writ petition, alongwith the pending application, is disposed of, with the direction that the petitioner will be given a final opportunity to appear before the Committee constituted by the notification dated 10.09.2025. The date and time for such appearance be communicated to the petitioner at least three days in advance.

It is made clear that this order is not intended to prejudice the rights or contentions of the parties with respect to any final decision on the question of the petitioner's confirmation in service or otherwise.
