% 17.04.2018 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts on 27th May, 2017 and, therefore, FIR No.161/2016 under sections 323/354/509/506/34 IPC registered at police station Kalkaji, may be quashed.

Respondent no.2 is present in the court and has been identified by SI Pawan of police station Kalkaji.

Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with petitioners of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further says that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further against the petitioners. Affidavit of respondent no. 2, wherein she has also submitted that she has no objection in case the aforesaid FIR is quashed is on record.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
