O R D E R

% 02.03.2016 The present is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, praying for a direction to the competent authority to release the petitioner on parole in order to enable her to attend the marriage of her niece, namely, Ruchi that is scheduled to be solemnized on 11.03.2016.

Mr Sethi, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner states that although the petitioner had filed a representation in this behalf before the competent authority on 24.02.2016, it is yet to be determined by the latter in accordance with law.

In view of the urgency expressed on behalf of the petitioner and bearing in mind the circumstance that her niece is slated to be married on 11.03.2016, the competent authority is directed to dispose of the representation dated 24.02.2016 filed by the petitioner herein seeking parole on the above mentioned ground within a period of seven days from today, in accordance with law, under intimation to the petitioner.

With the above direction the writ petition is disposed of. A copy of this order be sent to the Secretary (Home), Government of NCT of Delhi, by an express messenger for information and compliance. A copy of this order be given dasti under signature of Court Master to counsel for the parties.
