% 13.03.2018 IA 3511/2018 Exemption allowed subject to all just exceptions. O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 30/2018 This is a joint petition filed by the parties to the arbitration proceedings seeking extension of time for making of the Arbitral Award by the Arbitral Tribunal. It is submitted that there are as many as 4 claims of petitioner No.1 and 18 counter claims filed by petitioner No.2 before the Arbitral Tribunal. In spite of sincere efforts, due to nature of dispute, the Arbitral Tribunal is unable to publish the Award within the time stipulated under Section 29A of the Act.

Keeping in view the contents of the petition, I extend the time for making of the award by the Arbitral Tribunal by a further period of 12 months with effect from today i.e. 13th March, 2018.

The petition is allowed in the above terms with no order as to costs.
