O R D E R

% 28.03.2025 CM APPL. 16597/2025 (Application seeking directions) 1.

By way of the present application, the applicants have raised the apprehension that, after the vacation of the premises in question by the applicants, the respondent no.2-college shall not take expeditious steps for the purposes of reconstruction of the new Teaching Staff Quarters. 2.

This Court notes that the present writ petition was disposed of vide order dated 28th October, 2024, wherein, it was categorically noted that the W.P.(C) 15092/2024 Page 1 of 4 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Teaching Staff Quarters existing as of now, will be demolished to reconstruct new Teaching Staff Quarters. Further, the same will be allocated to the petitioners, subject to the condition as given in the said order. It is further recorded that the reconstructed quarters will be ready within an approximate time of 24-30 months.

When the present application was listed for hearing on 21st March, 2025, learned counsel appearing for the applicants had stated that the respondent no. 2-college ought to prepare a comprehensive time bound plan for demolition and reconstruction of the Teaching Staff Quarters of the respondent no 2-college, in compliance with the order dated 28th October, 2024. Thus, this Court had issued directions to respondent no. 2-college to bring before this Court, its comprehensive plan for demolition and reconstruction of Teaching Staff Quarters and the steps which have been taken by the respondent no. 2-college, in this regard. 4.

Today, Mr. Sudhir Nandrajog, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the respondent no. 2-college, has handed over a copy of the affidavit filed on behalf of the respondent no. 2, i.e., Janki Devi Memorial College, which is taken on record.

In the said affidavit, it has clearly been deposed by the Principal of the respondent no. 2-college, as follows:

That the Respondent no. 2 hereunder submits the action plan in regard with the demolition and reconstruction of the teaching staff quarters as directed by this Hon'ble court. Copy of the Comprehensive Plan for demolition and reconstruction of the Teaching staff quarters is attached herewith as ANNEXURE-A.

That the Respondent no. 2 hereby submits that the Respondent no. 2 has taken up all necessary measures and to get the new quarter constructed and this could only proceed and be possible when the W.P.(C) 15092/2024 Page 2 of 4 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Further, a comprehensive plan for demolition and reconstruction of the Teaching Staff Quarters, has also been attached along with the affidavit. 7.

Learned Senior Counsel appearing for respondent no. 2-college submits that till the vacant plot is available, the building plan will not be sanctioned by the competent authority. Thus, he submits that it is imperative that the premises in question are vacated by the applicants, in terms of the order dated 28th October, 2024, by 31st March, 2025.

He further reiterates that all the requisite steps are being taken by the respondent no. 2-college for the purposes of demolition and reconstruction of the Teaching Staff Quarters.

He further points out that the order dated 28th October, 2024, was a consent order.

Considering the submissions made before this Court, this Court is satisfied that appropriate steps are being taken by the respondent no. 2th college, in terms of the directions issued by this Court vide order dated 28 October, 2024.

At this stage, learned counsel appearing for the applicants submits st that the applicants are in the process of vacating the staff quarters by 31 March, 2025.

The said statement is taken note of and the applicants are bound by the same.

towards reconstruction of the Teaching Staff Quarters, the applicants shall be at liberty to seek their remedies, in accordance with law. 14.

With the aforesaid directions and clarification, the present application is disposed of.
