This petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for the following reliefs:

"1. issue appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, directing the DG SSB to set aside/quash the show cause notice dated and grant the Petitioner opportunity of a personal hearing/detailed written representation.

2. Issue a writ of mandamus directing the DGSSB to extend the time of the show cause notice to 17/11/2024 as the show cause notice dated 27/09/2024 was received by the Petitioner on 17/10/2024."

Without entering into the merits of the averments made in the present petition, as the learned counsel for petitioner confines her prayer to one of the reliefs sought, that is, for an extension of time for the petitioner to file the reply to the Show Cause Notice dated 27.09.2024, which, the learned counsel for the respondents, who appears on an advance notice, submits that can, in fact, be filed by the petitioner till 17.11.2024, the present petition is disposed of by directing that in case the petitioner submits his reply to the Show Cause Notice dated 27.09.2024 on or before 17.11.2024, the same shall be considered by the respondents on merits and in accordance with law.
