By way of the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks the following relief:

"a. Issue a Writ in the nature of Certiorari Quashing the Order dated 24.12.2024 of the Respondent and issue a Writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondent to release the petitioner on parole for a period of two months in the interest of justice; and" 4.

At the outset, this Court notes that the present writ petition has been filed on behalf of the petitioner without first approaching the Competent Authority for grant of parole. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that he will not be in a position to withdraw the present writ petition. 6.

In these circumstances, the present petition, in its present form, is not maintainable as the petitioner should approach the concerned Jail Authorities first. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. 7.
