Ms. Priyanka Dalal, learned Addl. P.P. for the State submits that, 22 out of 24 cited witnesses have already been examined and every endeavour would be made to record deposition of the remaining two witnesses on next date of hearing i.e. 28.02.2026.

After hearing arguments for some time, learned counsel for the applicant, without prejudice to his rights and contentions, does not press the present application. He, however, states that the learned Trial Court may be requested to expedite the disposal of the entire case and he may also be given liberty to file an application afresh in case there is no expeditious disposal. 3.
Learned Addl. P.P. for the State assures that there would not be any inaction or delay on their part for recording of deposition of the remaining two witnesses.

In view of the above, the petition is disposed of as not pressed. 5.
Liberty, as prayed, is granted.

Learned Trial Court is requested to dispose of the matter as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six months from today, particularly, keeping in mind the long incarceration period of the applicant.
