The present petition has been filed seeking following relief: "(a) direct the Respondent, to process and decide the application submitted by the petitioner institution seeking grant of extension of approval for the present academic session 2025- 26 in respect of its D. Pharm course; expeditiously before the cut-off date of 30.09.2025 fixed for the said purpose, by the Hon'ble Supreme Court, for the present Academic Session 2025-26."

Mr. Ajay Kumar Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent/PCI accepts notice.

In the batch of connected matters, notice was issued by this Court on 23.09.2025, when Mr. Ajay Kumar Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent/PCI had sought time to seek instructions. He has returned with instructions to the effect that the petitioner institute can furnish an affidavit stating that it fulfills all the requirements as per the Regulations.

He submits that once such an affidavit is furnished by the petitioner institute, its case will be considered afresh by the Executive Committee in its meeting scheduled to be held on 26.09.2025.

Ms. Binisa Mohanty, learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner institute is agreeable to the aforesaid submission made by Mr. Singh.

In view of the above, the impugned decision letter 27.08.2025 is set aside and the petition is disposed of with a direction that the petitioner institute will upload its affidavit giving an undertaking that it will comply with the Regulations and simultaneously send a copy of the said affidavit through e-mail to the Registrar of respondent/PCI. 9.

In the event, such affidavit is filed by petitioner institute, the respondent/PCI in its meeting of Executive Committee, scheduled to be held on 26.09.2025, will consider its case afresh and communicate the decision to petitioner institute.
