The present petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondents to remove the broken and damaged pillars and concrete structures left hanging on the roof of Muhammadi Masjid, Y-Block, Mangolpuri.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi ("MCD") had taken demolition action against the unauthorized construction existing in the Muhammadi Masjid, Y-Block, Mangolpuri.

petitioner submits that the hanging slab, left as such owing to the demolition action by the MCD, ought to be removed, as it poses a danger to the occupants of the building.

Learned counsel for the MCD appears on advance notice and submits that the property in question was inspected today, and hands over two photographs, which are reproduced as under:

By referring to the aforesaid photographs, learned counsel for the respondent-MCD submits that since there are two slabs, which are hanging after the demolition action undertaken by the MCD, the MCD shall duly undertake the action for removing the said hanging slabs. 7.

Accordingly, considering the urgency of the matter and considering the precarious situation of the hanging slabs, it is directed that requisite action shall be taken by the MCD, within a period of one week, from today. 8.
