This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No.1452/2014 under Sections 354D/506/509 IPC, registered at PS S P Badli on the basis of settlement arrived at between the parties dated 09th October, 2024. 2.
The petitioner and respondent No.2 are present in the Court, and are duly identified by IO.

APP for the State has an objection to the quashing of the FIR, considering that the FIR was registered in 2014 and the charges have been framed.

Considering the allegations made in the said FIR, the petitioner shall deposit a cost of Rs.11,000/- to Chhanv Foundation (Acid Attack Organization), Bank Name: Kotak Mahindra Bank, A/c No. 5213224861, IFSC Code KKBK0000214, Branch. G-39, Connaught Circus, New Place, Email: channvfoundation@gmail.com, Contact No: +91 9452909005. 6.
The said cost be paid within two weeks and affidavit of compliance may be filed in two weeks thereafter.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 1452/2014 under Sections 354D/506/509 IPC registered at PS S P Badli and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 9.
Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
